Purpose
The purpose of the committee is to serve as a forum for sharing information and skills relevant to the diverse library staff of TAFE member libraries. It provides opportunities for training, networking, and collaboration, fostering the development and promotion of key services such as acquisitions, collection development, systems management, liaison, and information and training services within TAFE libraries. Through these efforts, the committee aims to support the continuous improvement and professional growth of library staff across member institutions.
Committee Membership
Available to TAFE library staff of VATL member libraries.
The committee coordinator is elected annually at the AGM.
Meetings
The committee holds regular online meetings throughout the year.
Events
Each year, activities are organised by the committee for TAFE staff from member libraries to attend either in person or online.
They may include:
- Expertise and advice exchange
- Library visits and tours
- Panel discussions
- Project presentations
- Regional roundup
- Technology workshop
- Vendor demonstrations
